Patrick Malone Obituary

Patrick Malone, 84, of Tallahassee, Florida (formerly of Clinton, Iowa) passed away on September 11, 2013. Cremation rights have been accorded with a memorial service to take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 manufacturing drive - west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements. Patrick was born October 4, 1928 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Russell and Irene (Flynn) Malone. He was a 1947 graduate of Clinton High School. Following high school, he joined the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Jeanne Swanson on June 12, 1951. Patrick was a member of the Masonic Society and the Loyal Order of Moose. He enjoyed traveling, especially taking trips to Florida to visit his son. He also enjoyed watching Chicago Cubs and the Bears. He loved his family very much especially his grandchildren. Patrick is survived by one daughter - Terry Burrow of Clinton, IA.; two sons- Tim (Lora Lee) Malone of Eureka, CA., Tom (Prisha) Malone of Tallahassee, FL.; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; one brother - John Malone of Cedar Rapids, IA. and one sister- Molly (Lyle) Bronkema of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife - Jeanne, one grandson- Joshua, three brothers and one sister. Memorials may be directed to the family.
