Jay and family: You are in my prayers. It is so hard to loose someone quickly. Lots of questions, no answers. Talk with friends when you are low. It brings back the good memories of Patti. Just when you will think you have ahold of moving on, something will happen and you will want to call Patti, or say "I love you" and she won't be right next to you. It takes the wind right out of you and you feel you are right back where it all happened again. This is normal. For us humans, we don't want to let go. But we have to remember God has a plan, and Patti has fulfilled her goal here on earth. Now she is with our Lord, in heaven, and what a beautiful, perfect place, where she is now. She is waiting for all of you to make the same decision. Life is tough here on earth. Take a day at a time, and sometimes just a minute by minute.
You are in my prayers. God will give you strength and comfort.

Patti and I were stitch buddies. I remember the first time I met her years ago, I knew and felt that warm friendship that grew right from the very start. All of us girls have had some wonderful times and I will remember Patti's awesome laugh forever. It will never be the same. My heart breaks at the thought of her not being here with her grandbabies and family whom she adored. It is all she could talk about and with such exuberance. I know Patti will be that special angel for them. I love you girl! Jay and Jenny, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and that all of us have had a very wonderful gift in having known and loved her. I am very thankful to have had her in my life. Love you guys.

Jay, Jenny, Buzz, Rick, Jimmy and families,

You may not remember me but I've known Patti since I started working at Fox back in the 70's. Mary Etta was a special friend over the years and always kept me up to date on Patti and the family.

In later years I loved going into the Calico Rabbit and visiting with Patti and catching up on the latest. The last time I saw Patti was at Mary Etta's funeral where, as usual, she was comforting all who came.

My heart is full of sadness for all of you. But, at the same time, wondering what Patti and Mary Etta are up to right this minute -- putting glitter on wings maybe?

Jay and Jenny,
Jay, we have been friends for over 50 years, Sad to say that we have not always been in contact with each other, but that does not mean that you and Patty have not been in our prayers over the years. I hope you feel the prayers of all those holding you up.

Jenny, things like this are never easy. But I know that you have a strong foundation in your father and your father;s father. Lean on them and during a very trying time enjoy your love for each other.

Patti was the first person who helped me with rubber stamping when she and her mother was at Calico Rabbit, she was talented, I had a son in the hospital for several months and sent daily cards and I could count on Patti to help me to make it perfect Why do all the good people have to leave us so soon

Dear Jay and Jenny,
Jenny, I only remember you when you were very little. Your mother and I use to work together at Dr’s. Laham, Glass & Nelson. We were good buddies for many years, then life got into the way and we lost contact.
Patti was an amazing woman, full of life and always smiling.
I remember when your mom and dad met; they were crazy about each other.
May God hold & comfort you & your family in this time of need.
Friends are forever, I will never forget the good times we had together.
May God bless you,

Jay, Jenny and Family,
The night I read my email receiving the news of Patti's passing I could not sleep for remembering all the days and meetings as homeowners officers.

Also the times at Calico Rabbit and it's closing. We laughed and cried for the passing years that she felt that was going away.

Trying to teach Patti to use a computer was even more fun, just give a typewritter she said, I know how to use one of those.

She even sent her husband and daughter to help me drive home from Penn. after staying with my son who was so sick for so long. Those are the type of friends you do not forget.

Patti will always be in our hearts.

Patti and I met at Bunco several years ago. She was a wonderful friend, and always made our Bunco get togethers so enjoyable; so many good memories.
Patti just called me to a few weeks ago as she was checking to see how our family was doing since leaving Wichita; again always so very thoughtful and thinking of others.
She was deeply devoted to her family and always spoke so highly of her Jenny and Jay.
God bless you all.
