Peggy J. McGee
November 3, 1936 - January 8, 2021
Wichita, Kansas - Peggy J. McGee, daughter of Clarence Lee and Lorene Evelyn Whittle Miller, was born on November 3, 1936, in Blackburn, Ok. Peggy married her high school sweetheart, Don Ray Waite, on February 18, 1953. This union was blessed by five children. Don preceded her in death on March 13, 1975. She met and then married Paul Douglas McGee on April 11, 1980, who also preceded her in death on October 8, 1999. She loved being a homemaker and raising her children, camping and writing poetry. Peggy came from a musical family and handed it down to her children and grandchildren. She took every opportunity to play and sing with her siblings, who also sang praise and worship for her church. Peggy passed quietly on January 8, 2021 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, in Wichita, KS. Her life will be forever cherished by her children, Dan (Donna) Waite, Rhonda (Larry) Schneider, Randy (Kay) Waite, Cynthia (Jeff) Kaba, Rebecca (Joel) Patterson; her siblings, Harold (Jean) Miller, Carolyn Englebrecht, Ronald "Joe" (Janice) Miller and Charles "Chuck" (Jody) Miller; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Peggy's memory can be made to the Parkinson's Association of the Plains. A come and go visitation will be available from 9AM-12:30PM, Friday, January 15th, with Funeral service to follow at 1:00PM, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.

Peggy was such a pretty person. Enjoyed visiting with her and her brothers and sister in Hudson. Mervin remembers what a pretty voice she had when she sang. He enjoyed her musical family when they were growing up.
