I only had the extreme pleasure of being in Randy's presence during our family reunions, but I always looked forward to seeing him, because of course, he is the life of any gathering. He was so much fun and always made everyone feel at home. I will miss not having the opportunity to know him better, but will always cherish those times that we did have together.

The years have flown but fond memories of Cloud Elementary School and just having fun being kids remain. I still remember Randy singing "Red River Valley" in the 6th grade--look forward to hearing it again!

I've know Randy since he was a young highschool kid singing in a band called "Velvet Rainbow". He came to me then and ask me to help them get jobs performing. I was a booking agent and management company back in the 60s. I was so empressed that I signed them but had a hard time booking them because of their young ages. His mom monitored all of there activity as I remember? I last spoke with Randy a year or so ago when he was in Wichita. I am so sorry, he was way to young and the world will miss his talents! I know that he is singing in heaven, and getting great applause as he always did on earth. He is now up in that "Velvet Rainbow" that he lived and loved so much.

Randy is one of those "magic" people that cross your life..although his way to earliy passing is tragic.Gabral and the Angels in heaven just got one heck of a front man to add to the big band in the sky. Famous for his music but a man who gave so much more to our wourld. He made an impact on everyone he met .Randy not only had the "magic" he was "magic". We have lost a very special person -- he will be missed....God Bless all his friends and family and to Amy you should be so proud , you got in the right line when picking fathers...we are all lucky to have been a part of Randys life .he was so special.

I have few prized possessions, but my faith and an old guitar are two of them. Both were refined by Randy Rickman and his love for teaching me, and that is something I'll never forget. My prayers are with Amy and family.

We are friends with your daughter, Sandy here in the Kansas City area. Though we have not met, there's an obvious closeness within your family. We can well imagine your depth of love for Randy and how he is incredibly missed. God's strength is yours.

My prayers are with your family. I recently met Sandy and work with her in Jacksonville. We are truly blessed to have her join our Chamber family. Knowing her briefly is enough to know that she was raised in a loving family. God bless you all.

I like this idea. I met Randy in Maine a couple of years ago. I had always heard about him and found it amazing Sandy had a brother in Head East....I was very impressed. I enjoyed meeting Randy and being with someone of a free spirit. Randy's entire family, especially daughter Amy, are very special people, and I express my deepest sympathy for your great loss.

With love,

Darlene

Randy was an incredibly talented guy. He lived deep. He gave a lot to all he encountered. Randy had an overwhelming love for Amy & Margarite. He always made me laugh. Most of all, he was a real friend.
