Derby, Kansas - Ronald Scott Baxter, 60, of Derby, KS, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at South Rock Christian Church, Derby, KS. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery Wichita, KS. Ronald was born in Wichita, KS on May 26, 1960, to Catherine (Loibl) Baxter, of Derby, KS and the late Dee Baxter. He worked in supply management at Boeing and Spirit. Ronald loved fishing, cooking, and grilling, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a devoted dad and papa. His infectious smile, big heart, and fun-loving spirit will be greatly missed. He is survived by: his mother; daughters, Bayley Baxter of Derby, KS, Madison Burrell and husband Nelson of Virginia Beach, VA, MacKenzie Overman and husband Kip of Leon, KS, and Addie Hannon of Dallas, TX; brother, David Baxter and wife Kim of Peck, KS; sisters, Karen Felts and husband Frank of Wichita, KS, Sherri Clark and husband David of Derby, KS, Lori Truex, of Derby, KS; grandchildren, Isabelle, Hazyn, Kinzley, and Bailey. A memorial has been established with South Rock Christian Church, 900 S Rock Rd. Derby, KS 67037.

Ron and I were friends for 40 years. We started together at Boeing in 1979. We worked together through out our career. He will be greatly missed.

I worked and traveled with Ron at Boeing / Spirit for a number of years. I carry fond and funny memories with me the time we spend together.

I worked with Ron at both Boeing & the present co. Traveled with him on a few occasions and we always had a good time.
I liked Ron, we always had good conversation.

Worked with Ron during the Boeing and Spirit days. We always shared many laughs together. Was a really good person and family man and he will be missed by all.
