Wichita, Kansas - Ruby Flory Weixelman, 96, of Wichita passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, December 20th. Ruby was born in Centralia, Kansas. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1944. Ruby joined and trained with the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp and became a Registered Nurse at Halstead Hospital School of Nursing. See the full obituary at www.MyLakeviewFuneralHome.com. Visitation will be January 2, 3:00-7:00 pm at Lakeview Funeral and Cemetery. A special Psi Beta Psi ROSE (Retired Officers Serving Eternally) ceremony will take place during the visitation at 3:00 pm. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 3, 1:00 pm at Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas Avenue, and will be live streamed. Following the funeral service and light reception, a graveside service will be at 3:00 pm at Lakeview Cemetery.

Ruby was the attending nurse when I was born in 1957...the first woman in my life to see me naked!
She was a great lady and friend to our family, from WWII when Morris and my Dad worked at Boeing Wichita, until my Mom's passing in 2006. (I sure was glad to see her then!)
So sad to see her go, but so happy to have known her!
