Arthur & Nicole,
I worked with your mom at Maize. She was a dedicated educator and cared so much for the students. She spoke of you often - you made her proud.

Dear Smith & Cone Families,
Sandy & I were roommates at Emporia State during the spring semester of 1968. We became good friends and kept in touch for a few years after graduation. It was obvious that she cared deeply for her family. Since moving to this area 3 years ago I hoped to be able to locate her. I would have enjoyed seeing her again. May God bless you & sustain you through this difficult time.

Dear Nicole: We were so saddened to hear of your mother's passing. I know that the last year was tough for both of you. She was a beautiful woman and I see that in you. We will be praying for you and your family at this sad time.

What a beautiful lady! Sandy was my colleague, but more importantly she was my friend. She helped me remember that all students we worked with were worth it! She believed that no matter how far a young person went down the wrong road, it was never too late to turn things around.
She was an inspiration to me. I will miss her crazy laugh, and her "out-there" sense of humor, and most especially her focus on helping children. God Bless all of Sandy's family. She loved all of you SO much!
Take care, and I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers, Deanna
