Sandy, Josh & Megan I write this during the funeral wishing I could be there. You are all in my prayers. When I think of Steve I will always remember the phone call received from you, Sandra, probably 19 years ago when you told us "you couldn't wait for us to meet your new man!" That was the new redeemed Steve! I keeping thinking of the words to an old song that says, It took a miracle to put the stars in space . . . But when He saved my soul, cleansed and made me whole. It took a miracle of love and grace." Steve's life is that kind of miracle!
I love you all and pledge to pray for you all as you walk through the grieving process.
Remember all the good times.

Seems my brother was known to a lot of people for coaching. My Aunt was once in a Dr.'s office years ago and 2 young ladies were talking about their boys coach which turned out to be Steve. As Josh and I were going down the elevator at the hospital a lady asked Josh if he and his Dad coached football at one time in Haysville. Yep, coached her son. He was not only a football coach but a coach of endurance and to me a life coach!! I love you brother and miss you terribly already but I am glad you made the most victorious touchdown and win ever! You are resting in peace in heaven and I will see you again one day my teddy bear of a brother!! Your Suz (sister)
