Steven Webb Obituary

Steven Webb
March 27, 1949 - October 21, 2022
Wichita, Kansas - Steven Wayne Webb - dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend - passed away at home, surrounded by his family, after losing his battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis on Friday, October 21, 2022.
Steven was born on March 27th, 1949 to Clarence and Betty Webb in Wichita.
Steven graduated from Wichita South High School and then studied Fine Arts at Wichita State University.
In 1974, he married Sandra Best. They moved to Orange, California and he studied at The ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California.
An avid fly-fisherman of over 50 years, he is remembered for his love of nature and photography. He could be found tying his own flies, caring for his plants that attracted his beloved monarch butterflies, bees, and birds. He throughly enjoyed photographing them as well.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Steven was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Betty, and brother, Ronald Webb. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; their children, Lauren (Justin) Light and Ryan Webb; 3 grandchildren, Jameson Light, Jamison Bjork, and Lawson Light; his sisters, sister in law, and nephews.
Steven wishes to spend eternity in his favorite fishing spot, his ashes will be spread at Poudre River, near Fort Collins, Colorado at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Friends at the Great Plains Nature Center in Wichita at 6232 E. 29th Street N. Wichita, KS 67220. https://gpnc.org/donate-to-the-great-plains-nature-center.
