I retired from DCMA the same time as Terry and we both worked at the Guard for many years. Terry had a smile that would fill a room with joy and made everyone's day brighter. Terry was a good man, a friend and he will be missed but not forgotten. Mattie our prayers are with you and your family.

Matilda,

Barbara Nuessen called me to let me know of your great loss. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Terry but by me knowing you, he had to be a great person and will be missed a bunch. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you with his comfort.

I also contacted Jack and Jackie Diffenbaugh to let them know. Jackie is out of town, San Diego, and won't be home until Thursday. She said they will be in touch with you when she gets home.

Dear Matilda and family,

My heart goes out to you and the family. I can't even imagine the void you feel. Terry will be missed.

I remember when you lived in Waldorf, Margaret and I came to visit. We had a great time. Terry took us to the Smithsonian Institute one day. It was so huge and big for a small town Kansas girl, that I was overwhelmed. I needed to use the restroom, inquired about the location, and was pointed in the direction of the facilities. I went in, looked around and only saw men in the lounge area. I was confused. Terry swooped in, grabbed my hand and took me out of the lounge. He then pointed up about 20 feet above the door it said men. I will always remember that look of humor and fear on his face as he rescuded me and stopped the security guard from taking me to the office. He was bent over with laughter after it was all over.

His smile will always be remembered and missed.

Your loving cousin and friend, Geneva (and Gary too)

I was an engineer at the Dept of Defense for awhile when Terry was there and had the opportunity to work with him on more than one occassion. Always fun to be around, a smile, and a friendly hello. A tragedy...too young...he will be missed. My sympathies to the entire family.

I was a co-worker with Terry at the Kansas Air National Guard and also at the Defense Contracts Management Agency. We knew each other for more than a dozen years; never was there a more kinder person. If you ever met Terry you would not soon forget him; his out going personality and that constant smile on his face had a way of making your day always seem brighter. When he did anything it was always to his fullest potential, never half hearted. God needed an Angel on 12 Jan 2006; he couldn’t have picked any better. I am proud to say Terry was my friend and he will be truly missed but not forgotten.

Mattie and family our prayers are with you.

Terry was a Knights of Columbus member and the Deputy Grand Knight. He always spoke kindly to me in the short time I knew him. I wish his family the best.
