Tommy, our dear neighbor, was fortunate to have his son (Trip) and his family lovingly move him to a safe environment in Seattle and oversee his care.

My husband, Dwain, visited him until the end. We miss him so much!

What a delightful obit, shades of "On Golden Pond". Never met Mr. Allen but he had to have been a great character, much loved, cherished by his kids and grandkids. Sorry he's gone but he'll live on in your stories!

As a long-time Wichita River Festival organizer, Wichita Wagonmaster and fellow member of the PAWS (Past Admiral Windwagon Smiths), I had the pleasure coming to know Tom well. Besides his family, one of Tom's great joys was "Lording" over the Wichita Park System with a gentle but firm hand. Nothing happend in Wichita's Parks without Tom's approval. I consider myself much richer for having Tom as my friend.
