I'm very sorry to hear that Tom has passed. I remember him from his visits to my Uncle Ray Farha's store looking for deals back when I worked there part-time back in the 70's. He was such a nice guy - they just don't make guys like him anymore! My sincere condolences to his family.

Tom was one of the greatest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I met him, and his sons Jason & Josh, way back in 1988 when they were all a part of BSA Troop 616, and, that man did tons to help out a lot of us boys who otherwise wouldn't have had the required uniforms or equipment that we needed, wouldn't have been able to go to the various campouts or wouldn't have been able to eat for one reason or another. He even helped us earn merit badges by either having us help clean up the Damaged Freight store, taking us to cemetary to help restore aged crypts & tombstones, among other things. He was a gentle giant and was one of the coolest people ever. I'm so sorry that I lost contact with him & his family. He will be missed greatly. Rest in peace Tom, aka Papa Bear. When you get up into Heaven, please tell him that I love & miss him too.

My condolences to the Jabara family. Tom and I were Kappa Sigma brothers at Theta Phi chapter, WSU. Tom was a brother that anyone could depend upon. There were countless times of great college memories. After college, we kept in touch at alumni gatherings, Tom was always there and supported the house since he joined. He was always upbeat, a great person and a family man through and through. Whenever I had family improvements to my home, I always contacted Tom and Jason, they did outstanding. I recall when he and Susan were married. It was a great wedding and reception afterwards. In closing, I extend my prayers to the Jabara family, and I will miss a tremendous person and brother (KE).
