Wichita, Kansas - Todd Koppenhaver, 57, Epidemiologist from Kampala, Uganda, died Friday, April 28, 2023. Private family services, a recording of the service will be available later. Preceded in death by his stepfather, Innes Phillips. Survived by his father, John H. (Linda) Koppenhaver; mother, Karen R. Phillips of Wichita; wife, Mukwaya Koppenhaver; son, Kai Koppenhaver; step-daughter, Same Bogatsu; sisters, Robin Myers, Lisa Capps; brother, John (Shelley Anderson) Koppenhaver; and 8 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Mayo Clinic, Department of Development, 200 First Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel. Saddened to learn about the passing of Todd. He was my mentor and shaped my career path in ways I can´t even begin to describe when I met him so many years ago in Lesotho. Rest well my friend! Condolences to the family for the loss. Todd was one with a big heart and the world was his oyster. Greatly saddened but heaven has gained an angel

It is with a heavy heart to be writing condolences on behalf of Todd. Indeed life is so short. The news on Todd's passing are the saddest ones. Todd has been a big part of support to USAID/Botswana when he was working n the regional office. in South Africa. May the Lord comfort all family and loved ones during this challenging time.
