Wilma Bjorklund Obituary

Bjorklund, Wilma, 86, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at her home in Wichita, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, and parents Seaf and Irene Burton. Survivors include her sons Michael, Marc and his wife Deby and Rick. Brothers, Alvin and Oliver Burton; sister, Wanda Moshier; granddaughters, Kristina and her husband Chris Faircloth and Nicole Bjorklund. From early rural influences Wilma developed into an independent, self-made woman who was influenced by the pre-women's movement and entered the work force early. She maintained a hard-working, driven, can-do attitude toward life. Wilma was also highly creative and developed a wide variety of talents, especially as a self taught seamstress. She was very loving, caring and nurturing; taking care of others brought her great joy in life. She will be remembered as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to those who were touched by her. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone of Wichita 5318 E. 37th St. N. Wichita, Ks. To share a memory or leave condolences, visit www.cornerstoneofwichita.com

We are very saddened to hear of the loss of your mom. She was always there and had some sort of goodies for us while we played ball or worked on cars. Always steady and about business. Our most sincere and deepest sympathies to you in this difficult time. Dick and Susan Troell
