1980 - 2016 Allison E. Elrod, 35, of Olathe, Kan., passed away January 22, 2016, from breast cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia St., Lenexa Kan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to her family's GoFundMe account or Kansas City Hospice. Allison was born in 1980 to Art and Susan Miller. She lived in the Kansas City area most of her life with the exception of four adventure-filled years in NYC in her 20's. She graduated from Blue Springs South High School in 1998 and UMKC with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2003. Allison worked as a claims representative for Farmers Insurance. In 2011, she married Rob Elrod and together they have two handsome, active sons, ages 3 and 1. In addition to her husband and sons, Allison is survived by her mother, Susan Miller, and father and step-mother, Art and Susan Miller, sister, Heather (Roger) Fry, brother, Rus Miller, three nieces and nephews, four sets of aunts and uncles and a host of cousins and friends.
