Mrs Allen was part of a group of dedicated teachers at Hawthorne Elementary school under the leadership of Dr Bertrum Caruthers Sr. We owe a debt to them for they left wonderful handprints on our children who often speak of them. She will be wonderfully remembered by our family as we have pictures of her in the classroom along with our children. To her family please know you will be in our prayers. My wife Eligene was in her Sumner class of 1953.

I worked with Annetta as fourth grade teacher, at Hawthorne Elementary School. We worked many years together. She was a very nice and friendly lady and an excellent teacher. I am so sorry for your loss.
