Arthur Beebe Obituary

Arthur Franklin Beebe
August 16, 1951 - November 1, 2021
Lafayette, Louisiana - Arthur Franklin Beebe known to family and friends as "Frank", 70, of Lafayette, Louisiana passed away on Monday, November 01, 2021.
Frank was born August 16, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to the late Collen Frank and Gwendolyn Beebe.
He graduated from Grandview High School and completed 2 years of college before volunteering for the Navy in 1971.
He served in the Navy as a 1st Class Petty Officer on the USS Oklahoma and assisted in rescuing evacuees from the fall of Saigon, Vietnam on to the deck of the USS Oklahoma.
Being in the Navy allowed Frank to see and live places he never had imagined. From living and working in Taiwan to body-surfing in Sydney, Australia. After 9 ½ years of honorable service Frank was discharged from the Navy. After working in several different professions Frank found his place at the IRS, from which he retired in 2017.
Frank lived most of his life in Kansas City, Missouri enjoying life among family and friends. In September of 2017 Frank retired to Lafayette, Louisiana where he looked forward to the many festivals and good food. He met many new friends and definitely "laissez le bon temps rouler"! Frank loved to travel, whether by himself or to meet up with family members. He was an avid reader and fan of the Kansas City Chiefs even when he no longer lived in the city.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Collen and Gwendolyn Beebe and a
brother, Dennis Hoza Beebe and is survived by brother Bennie Beebe of Kansas City, MO: sisters, Margaret (Mahmoud) Farhadi of Tomball, Tx, Marilyn (Scott) Owens of Lafayette, La, Vona (James) Allen of Lafayette, La and Marlene (James) Wilmore of Kansas City, MO, Sister-in-law Penny Beebe of Belton, MO; and 6 nieces, 5 nephews, 7 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews, all who affectionately called him Uncle Frankie.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
The final resting place for Frank's ashes will be the Byron Cemetery, Byron, Arkansas. Anyone may send donations in Frank's memory to:
