So sorry to hear this sad news. Deepest sympathy to you, Frank, Fred and family. We will so miss her next door at the lake. I know Jazmin and Molley will miss the treats she always had for them. She was always happy to feed the animals. Her sweetness will be greatly missed. Hope to see you soon, Frank. Love, Ron and Judy

The Nevada McCarty's are deeply saddened by Barbara's passing, but feel very grateful that our lives were enriched by having known such a wonderful woman. From the moment I met Barb, I knew she was a kind and gentle soul. When Derek, her grandson was born, I jokingly dubbed Barb "Granny Babbs" and I don't think she ever forgave me for that, but she accepted it with the grace and style that was typical of Barb's handling of just about everything.
God has reclaimed one of his angels. Frank and Fred, you have been blessed by her presence here on earth, and I am sure she is keeping you in her thoughts and prayers and she is busy preparing a spot for you in heaven.

Barbara was responsible for my very 1st ever delightful meal of beef brisket, which was melt-in-my-mouth delicious! I never knew beef could be so tender, as brisket was unheard of in our family.

She most politely delivered a stern (well-deserved) scolding to me the time I made the immature mistake of phoning & of course waking her in the wee hours (middle of night/post midnight/pre-dawn) when I thought it was important for me to speak to Fred. I'm still ashamed & embarrassed for waking her -- seems she kidded me about that for years -- perhaps she was accustomed to youthful mischief (thanks to Fred's own activities?) ...

I fondly recall having the honored privilege of being made to believe I was one of the chosen few granted the special treat of watching her ride horses in her family movies. She must have been very young in those films. Somehow I also have vague memories of seeing her saddled elegantly up on top of a horse during the American Royal Horse Show.

She always made me feel welcome in her home & treated me like part of her family -- she was so nice!
