I think your mother was one of my Mother´s (Evelyn Satterlee) customers at Carlton´s Beauty Salon in Wichita. Mother always talked about how nice your Mother was and she always gave such beautiful Christmas gifts.

To the Meek children, I remember meeting and writing your mother and father. Met them in 1977 while being in Hawaii on a medical conference. Your folks are amazing and helped me a lot , remember one time Bette wrote me a letter and she enclosed a newspaper article about a doctor I met in Hawaii the same time as them because I really liked Gary and was fun hanging out with him and your parents at night when the conference was over that day. Have very fond memories of them and I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you now and in the future.

Dr. and Mrs. Meek were the perfect couple to lead the Wichita School of Medicine - professionally and personally. I loved working with them on the School's behalf. And I revelled being in their loving, warm and uplifting presence. Devoted to medicine and medical education, service to their students and community, and to each other. Theirs was an example I held to my heart. My condolences to their family and all who loved them. Thank you for sharing Joe and Betty with us all.
