Beverlee Lopez Obituary
Beverlee was born on September 2,1951 in Nashville, IL to Ralph and Alice (Sachse) Anderson. The family later moved to Overland Park, KS where Beverlee graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School. She then attended the University of Kansas and was a proud Jayhawk and member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She graduated from the University of Kansas School of Nursing and began her career as a nurse, working at several area hospitals.
During that time, she met and married Dr. Roberto Lopez who was a general surgeon. Beverlee and Roberto had a long and loving marriage. When Roberto became ill, she retired from emergency room nursing at Overland Park Regional hospital to care for him until his death. She then devoted herself to volunteering for many causes, including tutoring elementary school students, working with LGBTQIA youth and becoming a congregational care minister.
Beverlee is predeceased by her parents, her brother Douglas Anderson and her husband Roberto Lopez. She is survived by family in Las Vegas, NV and Shreveport, LA as well as her beloved dog, Willow.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 6 at 11 a.m. at Trinity UMC located at 620 Armour Blvd, KC, MO. Contributions in her honor to pet rescue organizations are suggested. More information may be found at Penwellgabelkc.com.

We remember Beverly as a vibrant and loving lady who was a bright ray of sunshine any day she came in to College Blvd. Animal Hospital. Beverly cared about us too and we were honored to have her trust for her dogs' care through many years. We carry her sweet memory forward and send condolences to her family and many, many friends.
