Billie Daniel, 85, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 22, 2016. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Platte Woods United Methodist Church 7310 N.W. Prairie View Rd, Platte Woods, MO. Funeral Service will start at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, Platte Woods United Methodist Church or Sister Servants of Mary. He was united into marriage with Phyllis Nichols on December 16, 1950. Billie is a United States Army Veteran. He worked as an accounting manager for Sunshine Biscuits in Kansas City, KS for 42 ½ years. Billie was a member of the Plate Woods United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing billiards, watching the Kanas City Royals, Chiefs and antiquing. His greatest enjoyment came from being around his family and friends. Survivors include wife, Phyllis of 65 years; sons, Philip Daniel (Marianne) of Weatherby Lake, MO, Jimmy Daniel (Kathy) of Oxnard, CA; grandchildren Christopher Daniel (Sarah) of Kansas City, KS, Denise McGuire (Shawn) of Overland Park, KS, Nolan and Maxwell Daniel of Oxnard, CA; sister, Margaret Crews of Kansas City, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Garland and Gladys Nichols; infant daughter, Cindy Daniel.
