Cass will be missed but never forgotten. I always admired him for the man he was and how he welcomed me into the Lancer group and always was there for support. I enjoyed his great sense of humor and appreciated his respected advice. By deepest condolences to Colleen, Clint and the rest of the family.

Our entire family sends its deepest sympathy to the Cassing family. Both of my parents felt a special affinity for Coach Cassing as did brother Nelson and myself. I had no idea that Cass had made such an indelible mark on the Raytown landscape. We should all be appreciative of the legacy he left.

Dear All,
I am so saddened to hear the news about Cass. He was a dear friend of our family (best man in my mother and father's wedding). My father (Artie Elwell) and Cass were good friends for many years. I grew to know Cass through his many visits to the school while Cass made sales calls. I recently would see him at some of the UCM basketball games and always enjoyed visiting and asking him about the old days of playing basketball with my Dad and Uncle Bill. Cass was an inspiration to our family and will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
God Bless!

Dearest Colleen, Clint and Cheryl - I don't have to tell you how much I will miss my friend. Cass meant the world to me and I will never forget our fun and our escapades! Plus now I will have to wait to get to heaven to give him the $1.89 that I owe him from our 30 year long gin game. I'm thinking and praying for all of you. Love, Nancy and Curt Diebel

I am so sorry for your loss. Cass (back then we called him coach) was a great teacher but every Friday we had "speech day." Students had to stand up in front of the class and deliver a five minute speech. I was scared to death and I'm sure my speeches were not five minutes long but I did pass the class. We all loved him. I saw him several times over the years and he always remembered me.

Colleen and family, we will always remember Cass as "Mr. Raytown"; he was
slways there for anything that might better the community, and anyone who ever met him became a good friend. We are proud to say we were one of his "friends", and will miss him beyond words. God bless you and the children.
He will never be forgotten. Love and blessings to you.

Cass was a mentor to me. I looked up to him when I was coming up the ranks in the Chamber. He was always there to help and always knew that he would be at coffee's, lunches and anything needed. He will leave a hole in many of our lives. Colleen, Clint and Cheryl hold close that he was a wonderful man in all ways.

Cheryl, Mrs. Cassing, and family, It has been many years, but I remember your father and mother from Blue Birds, and Camp Fire girls. He was a really wonderful man, and so much fun to be around. I remember watching the movie, The Great Escape in your family basement, and A campover in the field behind your home. I have thought of your family alot during the many years since then. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am in Houston, so unable to attend but, will be there in spirit.
