I am deeply saddened by your loss. It has been a while since I thought about Carl. Carl and I played football together at Raytown High and Baker University. I have many fond memories of the fun and sometimes mischievous times he and I had while on "road trips" with the teams. Even though I was a couple of years behind Carl he always took the time to make me feel like an equal. I always looked at him as a leader both on and off the field back in those days, and after reading these condolences it is obvious he continued to be a leader in life.

We have spent many summer vacations in Raytown visiting relatives. Of course, there would always be big get-togethers at Lake Lotawana. Cousin Carl always made it a point to see us. In reflection, we will never forget his kindness, politeness, sensitiveness, and making us feel that he was so glad to be with us. We will treasure these memories. He was a true gentleman and a SUPER cousin!
