Catherine Bartram Obituary

BARTRAM Catherine Loretta (Wilson) Bartram, 94, Danville, IL, formerly of KCMO, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011. Funeral service 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, Chestnut Street Church of Christ, Hoopeston, IL, Officiating Pastor, Sid Payne. Burial in Gundy Cemetery, Bismark, IL. Visitation 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, at the church, prior to the service. Memorials maybe made to the church. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.anderson-funeral- home.com. Catherine was born July 14, 1917 in Alvin, IL, to Ray C. and Grace Belle (White) Wilson. She married Paul S. Bartram May 1, 1937, in Olathe, KS. He preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1967. Catherine worked as an office manager for 37.5 years for the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church for more than 50 years, and in more recent years, the Sterling Acres Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. Catherine was very active in the Hesperia Chapter of Eastern Star and Fellowship Chapter of American Business Women. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two sisters: Elsie Allison and Ruth Spruill; one brother, Dean Wilson; one sister-in-law, Betty Wilson; and one brother-in-law, Buddy Alger. Catherine is survived by her sister, June Alger, of Richardson, TX; her brothers: Alvin (Leona) Wilson, of Danville, IL; George Wilson, of Danville, IL; and Rex (Orla) Wilson, of Hoopeston, IL.
