I was a neighbor of Charlie when we were kids. Used to play 'kick the can' and other games with neighborhood kids. He was always fun to be with. So sorry for your loss. Hu

To Charlie's family: I am so saddened and surprised to hear of your loss. Charlie was a wonderful friend and classmate--always fun, full of laughter and a wonderful dancer! I remember vividly when John Croucher and I took him to Union Station as he embarked on his Air Force career. I can still see him waving to us. He kept in touch with my parents and when returning to Kansas City on leave, presented them with a beautiful pair of brass candlesticks--I think from Egypt. The candlesticks graced their den for many years and now reside in my diningroom. Charlie will be greatly missed at our 50th reunion this fall but will be there with us in spirit.

PRAYERS AND CONCERN FOR THE FAMILY MEMBERS DURING THEIR TIME OF SORROW

This September Charlie would have been joining us in our 50th class reunion from Northeast High School. We are preparing a video with information about Northeast and pictures from our yearbook. Charlie wrote in my yearbook on his football picture in very large letters BIG Lepper. I think that is just one example of the wit and sense of humor that was strictly Charlie. Whenever that video is played we will be remembering Big Lepper. Charlie was voted Social Lion by his classmates in the Class of 1959's Senior Honors.

Growing up I always knew Charlie Lepper was the one guy who could beat my Dad at pool? I have fond memories of that cue stick hitting those balls and those men hooping and hollering in my Grandparents basement. LeAnn Kissire (Roger Lepper's daughter)

To Linda and entire Lepper family: I am so sorry for your loss. May you always remember the "good times" you were blessed with and the time God gave you, although too short, to be with him. Pat Miner

I am Charlie's cousin, and when I was in Las Vegas with a girlfriend years ago, I called Charlie, and I asked him if we could get together while I was there, and he told me he was baking cookies, and as soon as he got them out of the oven he would come pick me up. He took me to Caesar's Palace and we played video poker for hours. We had a little "game" that we would cash out at a set amount, but never did. He had a personality and sense of humor that could not be matched. I am very saddened by his loss, and my deepest sympathy goes to his sons, their families, Raymond, Mike, Roxy and Linda.
