Independence, Missouri - Charles went to be with his lord and savior on August 23, 2021. Charles was born on December 8, 1940, to Gladys and Elton Steadman of Shubert, Nebraska. Charles was married 50 years to Betty Steadman who passed away in November of 2017. Charles is survived by his two brothers, Gene Steadman and David Steadman, daughter Amy Harpham and her husband Russell Harpham, son Scott Steadman, 2 grandson Rosco Harpham and River Harpham and granddog Merle Legurle Steadman. There will be a visitation at 9:30 on September 10, 2021, followed by a funeral service at 1030 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Independence Missouri. A burial service will be held in Lockwood Missouri at 1pm on September 11, 2021.

I've really enjoyed getting to know your Dad in the past few years. We always had really good talks. Reminded me of my grandparents that raised me. They don't make people like them anymore. He will be missed. I will always be here for you Scott.

Amy & Scott - I have fond memories of your Dad. He used to talk to Matt about the Chiefs as he ushered people up for communion. May you find comfort in God's word. I am out of town and not able to make it to the service.
