Connie Ferguson Obituary

Connie Sue (Campbell) Ferguson, 43, of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, peacefully came into the Kingdom of her Lord, 31 January 2004, after a long battle with ALS. Born 1 February 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri, her childhood was spent in Overland Park, Kansas, graduating from Shawnee Mission West High School and then Kansas State University. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Tony Ferguson, parents, Bob and Lolis Campbell, brothers, Mark and Chris Campbell, their families, and many others. She was one of God's best gifts to the world, even during her illness. There is simply no way that words can describe the depth, strength, love and spirit of this woman who said about living with ALS: "This is part of life, also!" Two memorial services to celebrate her life will be held: The first at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, 7 February 2004 at First Presbyterian Church, Stillwater, Minnesota. The second at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, 14 February 2004 at Swope Park Baptist Church, 10415 Chestnut Drive, Kansas City, Missouri. Please, no flowers. Donations can be made to the ALS Association, Minnesota Chapter, 333 N. Washington, Suite 105, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55401 or Courage St. Croix, 1460 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, Minnesota 55082 or to the handbell choir of First Presbyterian Church, Stillwater, Minnesota. We have created a memory website. For information call Mark Campbell.

Dear Campbell Family,

We are sorry to learn of Connie's death. She was a beautiful and inspirational child of Christ. For some it may sound contrived but not for Connie, for truly yours and our loss is Heaven's gain. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and we pray that God's peace that passes all of our earthly understanding will be with you now and forever. We love and miss you.
