Linda Rust Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coast to Coast Cremations on Feb. 23, 2026.
Linda Sue [Beasley] Rust, 75, gained her heavenly wings on February 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. Born on July 17, 1950, to Gerald and Helen Beasley, Linda grew up with a strong sense of family and devotion that would define her life. She graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1968 and that same year married Charles Rust, beginning journey together that spanned 58 years of marriage. Linda and Charles raised three daughters who adored her deeply. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she embraced her role as mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother with unwavering love, strength, and devotion. She treasured her grandchildren and each held a special place in her heart, and she found endless happiness celebrating their milestones and making memories together. Linda formed many lasting friendships during her years working at House of Lloyd and H&R Block. Known for her kindness, work ethic, and welcoming spirit, she left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Linda will be remembered for her unwavering love, her generous heart, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the countless lives she touched. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Helen Beasley; her grandson, Zachary Bryan Timmons; and her son-in-law, Randall Ray Timmons. She leaves behind her husband, Charles Rust; her children: Dawn Myers; Elizabeth Summers (Mark Summers); and Kendra Lee (Jim Lee); her grandchildren and great-grandson: Ashley (Lee) Poquette, Bailey Myers, Zachary Timmons, Brandon Lee (fiancée' Meghan Bussard), Caleb Lee, Dalton Myers, Savannah Timmons, and Mallory Myers; and great- grandson, Grayson Cushing; her siblings, Marla Cox, Jerry Beasley, Janell [Beasley] Neal, and Jerri Lynn [Beasley] Nye.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held on March 10, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Salvation Army in the Leesburg, Florida area where she lived at the time of her passing.

An additional celebration of life will be held in the Kansas City area on March 22 @ 1pm at GASB Event Space in Lee's Summit, MO.
