Jeffrey Maisch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 28, 2025.
Jeffrey S. Maisch (Jeff), age 50, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025 at the University of Kansas Health System Hospice House in Olathe, Kansas, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on January 16, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri, Jeff spent his formative years in the Mission and Overland Park areas, establishing deep roots in the community he cherished. He was a proud graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School's Class of 1993. His professional journey began with many years of dedicated service as a manager at Hy-Vee in Mission. Demonstrating a keen adaptability and a passion for technology, Jeff seamlessly transitioned into a successful career in Information Technology. He started by diligently pulling cable, building foundational knowledge, then advanced to contracting roles with RTI most notably with Lockheed Martin. In 2017, he found a fulfilling role closer to home, joining the IT department of the Olathe School District. He was their Technology Support Manager for the last 6 years until his passing.

Beyond his professional life, Jeff was a man who cherished life's simple pleasures and deep connections. He found immense joy in the company of family and friends, especially when gathered around a crackling fire pit, sharing stories and laughter. A skilled player, he loved the challenge and camaraderie of a good game of pool, and the tranquility of fishing was a favorite pastime, offering moments of peace and reflection.

Jeff's memory will be forever cherished by his loving partner of eight years, Tisha Reed, of the home. He leaves behind his beloved daughters: Mackenzie Maisch and her fiancé, Lucas Hagen, of Overland Park, Kansas; and Camryn Maisch and her significant other Cody Corbin, also of Overland Park. He will be fondly remembered by his stepchildren, Dylan Veatch and his wife, Nicole, of Prairie Village, Kansas; and Alyssa Frias and Kara Fagan, of the home. He is also survived by his devoted parents, Jim and Sharon Maisch, of Overland Park, his siblings, Jimmy Maisch and his wife Karla, of Overland Park, and his sister, Lisa Corley and her husband Rod, of San Antonio, Texas. Jeff was a loving grandfather to his granddaughter, Finley. His legacy also lives on through his cherished nieces and nephews: Haley, Patrick, Thomas, Cece, and Zachary along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Please join Jeff's family and friends for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 24th. Feel free to stop by anytime between 12:30 and 3:30 at Shawnee Town Hall, 11600 Johnson Drive. All are welcome to come and share memories to honor Jeff.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to the University of Kansas Health System Olathe Hospice House, as a tribute to the compassionate care Jeff received during his final days. I didn´t know Jeff as well as some others, but I always saw him as a good man who was well liked and respected by many. During our time working together in Olathe, he was always ready to step in and help wherever he could. We will continue to keep his family in our thoughts during this time of healing. He will be greatly missed.

Maisch really was an inspiration at Olathe when I worked with him. He gave me a lot of good advice that I still hold onto in both my professional and personal life. My condolences goes out to the family.

Maisch, what a good dude. I considered him a friend, someone I could talk to about life and not just work. He was always ready to help you out of you needed him and he helped make our workplace better. I´ll miss him, his wit, his stories and his advice. I know he loved his family more than anything he spoke fondly of you all.
