Jon Boone, 88, of Leesburg, Florida passed away peacefully 2.19.26, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and family.
Born on October 15, 1937, Jon lived a full and meaningful life centered around the people he loved most. He shared 44 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Rhonda. Together they built a life rooted in commitment, laughter, and an enduring partnership.
Jon was a proud father to four children: Cappy (Mike) Schutte, Missy (Craig) Biers, Pete (Mike) Pearson, and Terry (Crystal) Boone. His family continued to grow with six amazing grandchildren Casey, Cara, Danielle, Nan, Reese, and Emery; and five great-grandchildren Calee, Liam, Olivia, Scotti, and Charli each of whom he loved and adored beyond words. Nothing brought him greater pride than watching his family grow and thrive.
Jon served as superintendent for Contel telephone company for 36 years. He was also an avid golfer, and found great joy on the course, where he built many friendships and cherished the simple pleasure of the game. Jon was a devoted baseball fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals. Whether watching a game, talking stats, or cheering from his chair, his loyalty to the St. Louis Cardinals never changed.
Jon will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of sports, his dedication to his wife, family, friends and the warmth he carried into every room. His life was one of quiet strength, laughter, and unwavering love.
Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him — especially in family who was his greatest joy. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.
