Daniel Savino Obituary

Daniel Victor Savino

January 1, 1971 - June 17, 2025

Leawood, Kansas - Daniel Victor Savino, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, surrounded by family. He was 54.

Born on January 1, 1971, in Escondido, California, Dan grew up in a close-knit family and attended Newbury Park Academy and Pacific Union College. A lifelong learner and technologist, Dan built a career defined by innovation, leadership, and compassion. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer at Enhance Health, following a distinguished 15-year tenure at SelectQuote where he served as the Senior Vice President of Artificial Intelligence.

Dan was a man of many passions-he loved to read, explore new places, and immerse himself in the latest technologies. But his greatest joy came from the simple and profound moments shared with family: flying drones on quiet Sunday mornings in Parkville with his sons Noah and Bailey, laughing over jokes with his family, and being present with those he loved most.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Savino; sons Noah Daniel Savino and Bailey William Savino; step kids Kinsey Alexander (Tiana), Lauren K. Henderson (Nick), Michael L. Molinari (Mikaela "MJ"); and grandchildren Cataleyah "Leyah" Molinari and Aidin Johnson. He also leaves behind his parents, Daniel and Valerie Savino; his brothers Paul Savino (Paulette) and Joseph Savino (Jill); his sister Brandy Stotts (Ray); and beloved nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Matthew, Marin and Eli.

Dan lived with quiet humility, a sharp sense of humor, and a boundless heart. He was witty, charming, had a million-dollar smile, and was-above all-an extraordinary human being. Loving, wise, a jokester to the end, he was fiercely devoted to his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Luke's Foundation, whose care and compassion supported Dan and his loved ones every step of the way. To the amazing doctors and nurses who cared for him, we offer our deepest gratitude.

As Dan would have appreciated, we leave you with these words from Star Trek:

"Of my friend, I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most… human." - Captain James T. Kirk

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

So very sorry to hear of Dan´s passing. I worked with him for many years and always appreciated his kindness and humor. My thoughts are with his family and friends. You will be missed, Dan.

Dan was a "glass almost full" individual, which I found out one Christmas at an office party when we all received scratch off tickets. He said, "Oh, I almost won!", after scratching his off. I asked Barb to see his ticket, and saw he came nowhere near winning anything! When I showed it to her, she said, "That's just Dan. He can make something positive out of everything". He must be the apple of God's eye. I know it made an impression with me. My heart hurts for Dan's people. He was too young and so talented. I pray God provides extra supernatural compassion and love to the ones who will miss him the most for a very long time.

Sending our love and prayers to Dan´s parents, Val and Dan. We are so sorry to hear you lost Danny. Wonderful memories of all the kids in school and the summer camps they led at Newbury. Danny was loved by our family even in tough times. We are so happy he was a successful business man and husband, father and grandfather. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. Our love, April and Ken
