Dear Kathleen, Carol, Mark, Tod, Beverly & families, Kay & husband, Trish, John, Shelly, Steve, Mary & Jennifer, & families--So sorry to hear the news about David.

David was one of the best. When I was a little kid, we would ride the train to KC and stay with Leo & Catherine & family on Quincy. When they moved to College, we all lived in the same neighborhood and grew up at the same time. I went to grade school and 1 year of high school with David. I believe David and I are next to each other in our freshman year book.

Kathleen, I remember when you first came to work for SSA [before you and David were married]. I was already working for SSA and you asked me if I knew David Gorman. I remember your wedding shower, [Hilda gave you an ironing board but brought a picture of it to the shower as it was too big to lug up the street from her house], your wedding, etc. There have been so many good times as well as the sad times, and this is one of those sad times. However, you and David set the standards for lives well lived and loved. Can't believe you were married 44 years, as it seems that we are not old enough to have done anything for 44 years. I am so glad that you and David had that time together, even though another 50 years could not have been enough.
You know you have the support of the whole family, even though words are not adequate at times like this [like the priest said at your mother's funeral.] Deepest sympathy,

judi morgan
