DONNA JONES THOMPSON Donna Jones Thompson of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, surrounded by family. Donna was born 6th October 1930 in Hale, MO, to Jesse & Rosa Jones. She worked as a Bookkeeper for 12 years at CJ Patterson Co. In 1971 Donna married R. Eugene Thompson in Kansas City, MO. Then in 1975 Donna and Gene started a truck line, Mo-Kan Distribution Services Inc. She is proceeded in death by parents and step father Clyde Lindsey, brothers, Sherman & Stephen Jones, sister Doris LaForce and her cherished husband, Gene. Survived by her step-daughters Mary Thompson (Stan Hott), Margaret (Peggy) Thompson (John Allee), grandchildren Troy Hott, Kathy Hott (Eric Stitt), Jesse Rock-Hott, James Allee (Corine Sevcik), Andrew Allee (Sarah Knox), nine great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Roger Thompson (Judy), sister-in-law, Joan Thompson and many loved nieces and nephews. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church for many years. Visitation will be 5-6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO where the rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 2552 Gillham Rd, Kansas City, MO. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mount Olivet in St. Joseph, MO.
