DORIS MAE EHRHARDT Doris Mae Ehrhardt, 87, of Gladstone, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family January 18, 2018. She was born May 25, 1930 in Kansas City, KS to Theodore Clifford (Ted) and Edna Mae Phillips (Power). She was the third of three children. Doris attended East High School, graduating in 1947. She was a long distance operator for Southwestern Bell in the early 1950s. While there she met Walter E. (Sonny) Ehrhardt and the two were married Nov. 11, 1951 and enjoyed 47 years together. They welcomed five children during this time. Doris loved to crochet and also really enjoyed the gospel music of Elvis. She was also an excellent cook. Doris is preceded in death by husband Walter; son, Bobby; great-grandson Ryan; sister, Jeanne Parker; brother, Clifford J. (Jack) Phillips. Doris is survived by son, Allan; daughter Beverly Davis (George); son, Chuck; daughter, Debra Carnnahan; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Jan. 24, service 1 p.m. Jan. 25, both at Whit Chapel Funeral Home, followed immediately by burial. Family would like to suggest contributions be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
