Independence, Missouri - Doug was born in Kansas City, MO, January 23, 1966 and passed away on December 15, 2020 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO.
He was preceded in death by an older sister, Peggy Diane Ensworth.
Doug is survived by his parents, Marvin Ensworth and Beverley Ensworth; one son, Austin Ensworth; brother, Darby Ensworth; sister, Rhonda Hinton; Nephew, Resley Hinton; Niece, Amanda Dale; Great Nephew, Carter Rodgers; Great Niece, Sydnee Dale as well as numerous cousins whom he loved all like a brother and sister.
Doug earned an Associates Degree from Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta, Georgia.
Doug loved people and sports and had a great sense of humor with a laugh that was infectious. He was a certified scuba diver and parachutist.
He graduated Lee's Summit High School in 1984 where he played offensive and defensive end for the Tiger Football Team. He was named the Kansas City area player of the week in 1984.
In his recent employment he installed and/or maintained large water pumping systems in the U.S. Embassies in Kabul Afghanistan and in several African Nations.

There are no words to say how sorry I was to hear of Doug´s passing. His pain in his last few years must have been unbearable for him. I´m glad he was back and around family and friends to help support him. He is now in a better place and not suffering. Family and friends are in my prayers.
