Edward "Bruce" Hancasky Born: June 4, 1940; in Joliet Died: March 8, 2014; in Joliet Age 73, of Custer Park, IL, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet, IL. Born June 4, 1940, in Joliet to the late Edward Francis and Marjorie (nee Allison) Hancasky. Veteran of the United States Navy, serving with the VP-21 Squadron stationed in Brunswick, ME. Mr. Hancasky retired from the IL Department of Transportation in New Lenox, IL. He had also worked for General Foods Corp in Kankakee, IL. Surviving are his wife, Patricia (nee Magruder) Hancasky of Custer Park, whom he married June 22, 1963 in Kankakee; his daughters, Mary (Leonard) Krull of Wilmington and Carrie Hancasky of Custer Park; one grand-daughter, Sophia E. Krull of Wilmington; one brother-in-law, Norman (Lovie) Magruder of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters-in-law, Betty Krueger and Carolyn (Steven) Benoit of Kankakee, and Geraldine Fulton of Sun City, CA; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Joyce Hancasky Hanton; and in-laws, Herman and Annie Magruder. A celebration of Bruce 's life will be at R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd. & Crematory, Monday, March 10, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Interment will be private in Blooms Grove Cemetery, Manteno, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet would be appreciated.
