Edward Van Camp Obituary

Edward Louis "Harpo" Van Camp, 51, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2002, at the Cancer Institute of Research Hospital. He will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2003, at the West Line Christian Church in West Line, MO (west of Harrisonville on Hwy. 2). The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. at the church preceding the service. Edward was born June 26, 1951 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Vincent and Rita (Mandl) Van Camp. He was a Coast Guard veteran. Edward had been employed as an electrician at General Motors. He was a member of the IBEW and the UAW. His survivors include three daughters, Heather Smith and husband, Paul of Blue Springs, MO, Tiffany Blansit and husband, Todd of Oak Grove, MO and Leah Van Camp of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, Jared, Ryan, Jackson and Abigail; his parents, Vince and Rita Van Camp of Kansas City, MO; a brother, V.J. Van Camp and wife, Ruth of Olathe, KS; a sister, Gloria Meyers and husband, Tom of Overland Park, KS; an aunt and uncle, Kay and Curt Sheall; nieces and nephews, Jody and Clint Pearson, Debbie Van Camp and Brad Meyers; greatnephew and niece, Cody and Kaitlyn; and cousins, Mike and Ann Sheall, Melissa, Josh and Nicholas.
