ELEANOR LOUISE MCWILLIAMS

ELEANOR LOUISE (JOHNSON) MCWILLIAMS E. Louise McWilliams, 81, Kansas City, Kan., passed away at home February 4, 2014, with her loving husband and children at her side while Heaven gained one beautiful angel. Louise was born Aug. 30, 1932, to her parents, Charles W. and Edna Ila (Dahlstrom) Johnson. She was a graduate of Argentine High School in 1950 and retired from Electronics Research Co. (ERC) in 1990 in Overland Park, Kan. Louise was a loving and devoted wife to Herschel H. McWilliams Jr. and will be married for 63 years on March 1. She also was a kind and most loving mother to three children, Kathy Louise Harris (John) of Mesa, Colo., Charles H. McWilliams Sr. (Dixie) of Kansas City, Kan., and Herschel H. (Sonny) McWilliams III of Olathe, Kan. Louise has 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her only sibling, Ila Marie (Johnson) Osborn. Louise was the "best friend" you would ever hope to have and was a founding member with her closest friends of the "Good Times Bunch." Louise also was an avid golfer and a member of the Women's Golf Association at Dub's Dread Golf Course and Sunflower Hills Golf Course. Louise McWilliams will always be missed, yet remembered for, being a shining pillar of love to her entire family and all of her friends. She led by the example of that and by giving much attention to her large extended family and the persistence of continually having family reunions through the years. The visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, both at Maple Hill Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kan. Burial at the Maple Hill Cemetery, KCK.
