Eugene Banahan Obituary

Eugene Banahan
May 31, 1947 - June 25, 2022
Peculiar , Missouri - Eugene Banahan, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend went home to be with the Lord, June 25, 2022.
Gene, as he was best known, was born May 31, 1947 and raised in Kansas City. He studied at MU and graduated from UCM, with a degree in Engineering. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp., and then in the Air Force Reserve. He married the love of his life in 1972. Never has there been a more loving and devoted husband. He worked for Challenger Electrical Equipment Corp. for several years, then later worked as a sales representative at Siemens from 1992-2012 where he would receive top honors in sales before retiring. Gene was also a beloved member of the Calhoun United Methodist Church where he loyally served his community.
He is survived by his wife Donna Banahan, his son, Vince McRoberts (Becky), two grandchildren Dakota McRoberts (Courtney), and Hunter McRoberts (Sarah), and two great grandchildren, Kolbe and Kasen McRoberts, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
We are blessed with a sincere peace knowing that Gene went to sleep on the 24th of June and woke up with Jesus on the 25th. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
