Shawnee, Kansas - Evelyn Jors, Shawnee, Kansas passed away April 29th, 2021 at home. 9-10AM Visitation at All Saints Catholic Church, 8th & Vermont, K.C.KS. A Mass of Christian Burial to follow with burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery K.C.KS.
Evelyn was born Aug. 25th 1927 to Mark and Pauline McGowan of K.C.KS. She was a member of St. Joseph/St. Benedict Church. Evelyn was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband; Harvey Jors, Nov. 22, 1987, Sister and Brother-in-law Eunice and Frank Klann.
She leaves many Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and Dear Friends, and neighbors; Harold and Bernice Klein, Darlene Summerour, Theresa and Wayne Schmitt.

Eve, Harvey, Eunice and Frank were all friends with my Great Grandparents, Walt & Daisy. So many childhood memories include them all. I had moved to Florida shortly after my Gma had passed but always wanted to reconnect with Eve ❤ She was a wonderfully sweet woman. ❤

Family that knew her well all called her Cookie. Instead of a cousin she took over my Mother's place when my Mother passed on. She always shared holidays with us and always was a close member of our family. We shared trips to Monet to visit family and she was very dear. We all grew up in the same neighborhood, she was our school crossing guard for 6 years growing up. Her Mom was my Mothers Dad's Brother and they were all very close to my Grandparents and She and her Sister Eunie were always sharing our Home and Grandparents home. Her Mother and my Grandmother were best friends and dated prior to their marriage. She rode with us all on the floats on Polski Days and we all would all decorate the float for Polski Days. She was always known as Cookie and after my Mom passed it was Momma Cook. She is in Heaven with my Grandson Greggie now and all our other family members that she was close with. Thank you for all the wonderful years in my youth and as an adult. You will always be loved and not forgotten. Thank you, smile Momma Cook, you are with your loved ones now.

Evelyn, I will miss your terribly. Not only were you my neighbor across the street for the past fifteen years, but you were my dear friend. You were like a second mother to me. Sleep in peace, my friend and may perpetual light shine upon you.
