G. Wickerham Obituary

Dr. G. Donald Wickerham, 80, died February 27, 2006 at Green Acres in Gettysburg, PA. Born in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. R.D. Wickerham. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet S. Wickerham. He was a graduate of Gettysburg High School, Ursinus College, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry. He served in the US Navy in World War II from 1943-1946 as a line officer. He served again as a dentist during the Korean War from 1950-1953. He practiced dentistry in Gettysburg for 38 years. He was an original member of the Gettysburg Country Club where he served as vice-president and was a 5-time Men's Club Champion. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Good Samaritan Lodge, 336F&AM. He is survived by his three children: Barbara E. Wickerham of Winchester, Virginia; Andrea Shedden Wickerham of Kansas City, Missouri and Dr. DL Wicherham and is wife Dr. Mary Lou Kundrat of Pittsburgh, PA.; a sister, Eleanor Johnson of Wadswoth, Ohio; and a grandson, Andrew Lawrence Wickerham of Pittsburg, PA. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church, 30 West High Street, Gettysburg, PA, on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. Internment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County Public Library, 140 Baltimore St. Gettysburg, PA. 17325 or to the United Methodist Church. 30 West High St., Gettysburg, PA. 17325.
