George Richey Obituary

George Alan Richey, 75, of Liberty, MO, entered his heavenly home on September 24, 2003, at his home in the presence of family. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by services at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I35 and M-291 Hwy., Liberty. Interment will be in Glenridge Cemetery. George was born October 7, 1928, in Rayville, MO. He lived in Liberty for over 50 years. He worked in the Body Shop for General Motors Corporation 30 years at the Leeds Plant, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local 93. He was a member of the Liberty Christian Union and had recently attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was Past Master of the Liberty Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Madge Richey and seven brothers and sisters. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Bowles) Richey; four children, Teresa Pemberton and her husband, Danny, Galen Richey and his wife, Marie, Charlotte Alsin and her husband, Don, Jr. and Brenda Bricker; two brothers, Ray Richey and Tom Richey; two sisters, Marie Becic and Wilma Mason; eight grandchildren, Candace and her husband, Regis, Derek, Melody, Correy, Alan, Rheanna, Kira and Bailey; and two greatgrandchildren, Layla and Kaydence; and many other relatives and friends.
