Georgia Anna (Rose) Olsen Georgia Anna (Rose) Olsen passed away on August 24, 2018, after a short, unexpected battle with an aggressive cancer. Georgia was born on June 30, 1946 in San Francisco, CA, the daughter of George and Geneva Rose. She graduated from Wyandotte High School, and later became a graphic designer for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, MO. Georgia and her husband Jack owned the American Legacy Gallery, which was located in Brookside, for 40 years. They recently retired. Georgia is survived by Jack, her husband of 44 years; her daughters Julie Shelley (Lino Iusco), Jennifer Olsen, Kim Olsen, and son Brad Olsen (Nancy); grandchildren Valentina K. Rose Iusco and Siena Giorgia R. Iusco, Casandra Courson, Ashley Olsen, Samantha Riley-Olsen, Jack Ryan Olsen, and Alex Olsen; four great-grandchildren; her sister Heidi Kellermeier (Kevin), nephew Jacob and niece Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 8, at 5:30 p.m. at The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, 4420 Warwick Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64111. A reception will follow in the Museum Caf‚. In lieu of flowers, Georgia requested donations be considered for Wayside Waifs, KCPT Channel 19, The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, or a charity of your choice. Georgia will be remembered for her love of life, her incomparable aesthetic sense, joyous laughter, wonderful humor, and immense kindness.
