Dear DeVaughn's, I so wish I could be with you all at this very sad and difficult time. God blessed me with 44 years of Gil in my life. A wonderful Uncle, and Man. Gil was a gentle, kind, caring, softspoken man with a wonderful sense of family, and a great sense of Humor. I treasure my many memories of time spent with Gil, and the laughter and love we have all shared as family. God blessed us with wonderful role models in our family, Gil the first to leave us, will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed. Thank you God, for the time we did have with Gil, for the blessing of being born to this family, and the fine example their generation has represented for us. I pray for all of us now as we so timidly, enter a new part of our lives that our generation can pass on to our children what was so lovingly shared with us all our lives, and live up to the fine examples you all have been to us. We love all of you, Gil, Jean, Bob, Nancy, Liz, Rich, Gordon, Jim, Carol, and Nancy. Marrianne, Nancy, Danny, Brad, Meagan, Gretchen, Nick, and Ben. My constant thoughts and Prayers. Love, Mary

Uncle Gil will be greatly missed by all of us! So many memories are going through everyone's head right now, memories that are etched in our hearts and minds. The bluebird of happiness will be with him always.
I wish I could be there with you over the next few days, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I was Gil's OCC in the mailroom at Farmers. He was a "one of a kind person". Always kind and friendly never saying a negative word about anyone or anything. We had many conversations about his trips and the time spent with family, it was evident how much love he had for his family especially the grandkids.
He will truely be missed by all who knew him.
