Helen Elaine Michaels

Helen Elaine Michaels, age 87, of Kansas City, passed away August 30, 2007, at Kansas City Hospice House. The family will greet friends beginning at 2 p.m. and services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the D.W. Newcomer's White Chapel funeral home, 6600 N. Antioch Road, Gladstone, Mo., followed by burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Helen was born July 30, 1920, in Kansas City to Ferdinand and Jessie (Barker) Glasscock and was a lifelong Kansas City resident. She was united in marriage to Charles Daniel Michaels in 1940. Helen was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She was a charter member of the North Kansas City chapter of Pilot International. She was the business manager for Bill Allen Leasing for many years and retired in 1992. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, and socializing with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, one sister, and a grandson, Jeffery Graham. Survivors include her children: Claudia Graham and son-in-law Pete of Kansas City; Danette Michaels and Janette Michaels, both of Lawrence, Kan.; and Elaine Minnis and son-in-law Jerry Hill of Ft.
