Naples, Florida - Henry Braxton Bowman, II died unexpectedly in his home in Naples, Florida, on April 23, 2025, at the age of 54. Braxton is survived by his mother, Debby "Honey" Bowman of Frisco, Texas; his brother Robert Bowman, sister-in-law Sharon Bowman, and his niece Claire Bowman of Rockwall, Texas; his Aunt Alice McKann of Park Ridge, Illinois; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Roger Bowman.

Braxton was born on May 20, 1970, in Norman, Oklahoma. He graduated from Norman High School and Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, like his father. Braxton also spent two semesters at the University of Hawaii. He loved Hawaii and was looking forward to a planned vacation to Kauai in June with his mother and his brother's family.

After college, Braxton built a successful career as a financial advisor, earning the trust and friendship of clients nationwide. He had a magnetic personality and maintained lifelong friendships with Norman and Westminster schoolmates and people he met wherever he lived, including Oklahoma City, Kansas City and Naples. Braxton loved Sooner football, meeting with clients, fine tequila, teasing his niece Claire, luxury cars, going on cruises with his mother, and a good cigar, but not necessarily in that order.

A graveside service, arranged by Havenbrook funeral home, will be held for the family. A Celebration of Life is planned for June 7 in Norman, Oklahoma for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the American Heart Association or the charity of choice. And if you're wondering about your cardiac health, please call a doctor for a check-up. Braxton would want you to take care of yourself.

As we struggle to understand why Braxton was taken from us too soon, we hope these words his niece, Claire, sent to her grandmother, Honey, will help bring his family and friends some peace: "Honey, at church last night we studied John 13:7, which says 'You do not know what I am doing but later you will understand.' We currently have no answer for why Uncle Braxton left this world, but what we do know is that he is looking over us in heaven and we will all join him one day. Uncle Braxton was one of the best men in my life. The world was so lucky to have him, but heaven is even luckier."
