Henry R. Lyle

Aug. 16, 1922 - Sept. 1, 2008 Henry R. "Tex" Lyle, age 86, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Monday, September 1, 2008, at Springfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Springfield, Mo. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Clinton United Methodist Church with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Friday at the church. Family suggests contributions to the Cookson Hills Christian Ministries or the College of the Ozarks, and may be left at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Tex was born in Athens, Ga. He was a graduate of Iowa State University with degrees in animal husbandry and agronomy. He worked for Ralston- Purina and retired from Farmland Industries. He was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge. No. 548. He is survived by his wife, Frances Lyle of the home; two daughters, Rachel Lyle and husband Jonathan Paretsky of Lawrence, Kan., and Ingrid Denney and granddaughter Adrienne Denney of Springfield.
