John, we are so appreciative of the eulogy materials you sent us about Ivan. He was such a remarkable man. I served with him on several occasions and we have shared vacations together. I am sure that he and Margie are harmonizing on their harmonicas in heaven right now. God Bless them both.

John & Betty & family: My deepest sympathy for your loss. Ivan and Marjorie were some of the brightest stars of my childhood at Miller Park Church. There is a song that says "Thank you for giving to the Lord. I was a life that was changed." and I think of them whenever I hear it. They helped give me a solid foundation in my walk with Christ and I will always be grateful. They had wonderful servant hearts.

Dear John,
Although we haven't seen each other for a while, I have good memories of your father. I lost my dad in January, 2003. I know it isn't easy. Please accept my sympathy. Scott

Coming from Florence, I knew them both very well. I can't count the many many times they put smiles on faces through their music. They are missed.

sorry to hear about your loss. Ivan will be missed by many! One memory i have of him is when he would go to marjorie's room and play his harmonica to help calm her down which almost always worked.

I never got the pleasure of meeting Ivan Griswold or his bride Marjorie. I only heard bits and pieces about them from their son John with whom I have been fortunate to have worked with for many years. I regret not having known them as they sound like great people. My sincerest condolences to John and all his family and friends who did know Ivan.

The family of Loretta Dahir, who recently passed away, would like to offer their condolences for the passing of Ivan Griswold. My mother very much enjoyed working with Ivan in the ROA/ROAL. Losing the 2 of them leaves a big void in the Omaha ROA/ROAL program.

What an amazing legacy Ivan has left you children and your famililies. He was a joy to know and certainly has left our family with a multitude of special memories. We will always picture his welcoming smile greeting us along with the fondest of memories when we think of him.

Ivan and I played together in a harmonica quartet called The Golden Reeds. I am the only one left from that quartet, I can't wait to get to heaven and get the ole gang going again. I know Ivan will be ready to play at a moments notice. Take good care of Ivan, God, he is a great man, and a heck of a good harp player also.

I will always remember Ivan's love of life and his beautiful smile. My memories of him were always with Marjorie, which is how it should be.

Ivan always had a smile and a positive word to share, and I know he never met a stanger. What a wonderful character, by both definitions of the word. A font of information and talent. Both he and Margie will always hold a special place in my heart.

It was a great pleasure knowing both Ivan and Marjorie. We always looked forward to their visits to Kansas City, MO. and to our visit with them in Omaha. Their shared love of music touched many hearts.
