JAMES D. "JIM" MARKEY

James Markey, 87, of Rogers, AR, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away on February 6, 2010. He was born on May 3, 1922. Jim was a professional musician for fifty years, playing around the country in the 1940s and 1950s with the Don Roth Trio and later with his own trio at the former U-Smile Motel in the 1960s. He was a salesman for most of his life with several real estate companies and was a broker with Hardin-Stockton. He then moved to Bella Vista, AR, where he sold lake property for Cooper Communities in its early beginnings. He retired in 1980, and was then able to do what he loved . . . FISH! He leaves a daughter, Pam Knight (Steve) of Leawood, KS. He also leaves three granddaughters, Jennifer Lehr (Kevin), Amy Spitaleri (Tom) and Brooke Bonadonna (Michael). He had five great-grandchildren, Lauren, Leah and Toni Spitaleri and Mia and Joe Mike Bonadonna. He also leaves a son, Joe Markey, Rogers, AR. We are honoring Dad's request of cremation and no service.
