James L. Moran

James L. Moran, 82, Mission, KS, passed away July 21, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at St. Pius Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., rosary at 7:30 p.m., Thursday at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice. Mr. Moran was born November 26, 1925, in Kansas City, KS, son of Thomas J. and Benatta E. (Thompson) Moran. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He retired from USDA after completing over 30 years of service. He was an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty A. Moran and infant granddaughter Deidre Shields. Mr. Moran is survived by four daughters, Mary Shields, Peggy Sanborn, Patty Faunt and Theresa Moran; one brother, Bill Moran; and two granddaughters, Crystal Faunt and Bridget Shields. (Arr.: Mt.
